Miss Czech-Slovak Iowa

The Miss Czech-Slovak Iowa Pageant fosters the growth and development of young women between the ages 16-26 who are of Czech, Slovak and Moravian descent to perpetuate their heritage and traditions. The duties and responsibilities of Miss Czech-Slovak Iowa align with the mission of the program: to not only learn about an important part of themselves and their families, but to participate in preserving this heritage to the next generation. This unique opportunity is unlike any other in Iowa and is especially unique to the variety of platforms across the United States.

With Czech communities scattered across the state such as Protivin, Spillville, Cresco and Clutier, Miss Czech-Slovak Iowa has ample opportunity to attend different events and connect with smaller cities and towns to learn about culture and tradition. Iowa's queen also participates in a variety of events around the Cedar Rapids area, especially in Czech Village and in conjunction with the Czech Heritage Foundation and the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library.
