The Czech Heritage Foundation’s Homestay Program funds students to live with a host family for three weeks in or near Hradec Králové, Czech Republic. They will host a Czech student from that family after they return later that summer. The program partners with Biskupské Gymnázium Bohuslava Balbína, a high school located in Hradec Králové.
Since the program’s inception in 1983, more than 100 high school students have received scholarships. Students are able to experience culture and daily life firsthand through their host family and community. Upon their return, students share their experiences with local churches, clubs, trade groups, senior centers, and civic and fraternal organizations.
